LOVE AND PANTING: A PANTOUM
Today I am in love with a man.
Last week I loved tofu, baked in szechwan,
crunchy as I bit but yielding at the root of my tongue.
It was long untouched and needy for love.
Last week, I loved tofu, baked in szechwan
A month ago, it was walking that I loved.
It was long untouched and needy for love.
Strolling on brittle leaves felt thick as coming.
A month ago, it was walking that I loved.
I panted at the sex of staring at the sky.
Strolling on brittle leaves felt thick as coming.
Two days ago, I loved storms.
I panted at the sex of staring at the sky,
lumbering clouds were tough, ready for rumble.
Two days ago, I loved storms.
It was old people that I loved a decade ago.
Lumbering clouds were tough, ready for rumble,
supple grandmas worried over sneezes.
It was old people that I loved a decade ago.
Saturday, I loved booze.
Supple grandmas worried over sneezes,
I drank good times the color of friends,
Saturday, I loved booze,
crunchy as I bit but yielding at the root of my tongue.
By dawn, I was spent by passion with vodka,
Today, I am in love with a man.
