Christina Kiplinger-Johns
LINES
My mother squawked
on the phone today
and it hurt my left ear a bit.
She asked how things were
not really
wanting to know.
So I told her
not really
wanting to tell.
And when she found that
my poetry collection
had sold,
Mum asked
if it was windy today
where
I live.
