Rebecca Parker
BURNS
as long as it burns on the way down,
she says, i'm okay with all of the fleshy
things you discover and feed me.
the sound of you coming
around the corners and curves
leaves her speechless and soggy;
her skin is thin and wetter than the way
you left her.
every thursday night she flips
through albums and sticky
thumbprints, hoping that maybe.
just maybe
you'll sleep yourself into
the bottle in her hand.
