We are always looking for volunteers of all ages and skill levels to assist with the renovations at Firefly Farms, the home of SAFTA. Since beginning this project in Winter 2012, volunteers have helped gut the farmhouse, install electricity, re-floor the kitchen and dining room, and dig drainage trenches around the house. They have also chainsawed trees, burned brush, bush-hogged fields, and planted new gardens on the surrounding land.
We are looking for volunteers of all ages and skill levels. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new home improvement skills while also helping a local non-profit.
We are also hiring for SAFTA & Sundress Publications positions. To find out more, our hiring page.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn valuable skills. Plus, as a non-profit organization, SAFTA can help you earn hours for service-learning courses and/or community service groups and organizations. If you are interested in bringing a group of volunteers to Firefly Farms, please contact our Creative Director, Erin Elizabeth Smith, at erin@sundresspublications.com in order to schedule time and instruction.
