Standing under the Anchorage Evergreen

I recall my days at Hunter College
when my right arm
was my spine
and you
were my goddess

You're significant figure
pounded my cortex
with an orgy of questions
And you'd have me
dreaming Turbanado
as you bond my lips with Stoplight red

Running through the streets of Palestine
I could still find my way to your bed
Pull you down by the stratosphere
and grind into your rocks.

And I'll leave your voice with the shade,
returning to the awful marathon of day
like nights into dreams.
